Abstract

Surade is a district in Sukabumi regency that led to be an IT-based smart village, with the establishment of Surade.co.id site. This research aimed to: (1) Identify potensials to build an IT-based smart village, (2) find out the level of competitiveness by the IT-based smart village, (3) set the IT-based development policy. The development of Surade e-database is essential for village development and acceleration to be a Smart Village as a concept that emerged in this research to equalize the acceleration as Smart City and support the development from peripheral or rural areas. E-Database concept should be simple and communicative with a reliable search engine and map-based by name and address. The result showed that the in first half implementation indicated the the increasing of the website usage by users to search SMEs or businesses in Surade which it boosts 13.33 percent. The optimizing e database policy led at conducting counselling and socialization, participating as a sponsor in all activities in Surade, embracing door to door business, as well as improving the institutional or group cooperation
